Grilled Hanger Steak with Green Tomato Chimichurri

  • Pair with Cabernet Sauvignon
Green Tomato Chimichurri Ingredients

1.5 cups of fine diced green tomatoes
2 tablespoons of minced capers
½ cup finely chopped parsley
½ cup finely chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons of finely chopped oregano
2 tablespoons of finely diced jalapenos
½ teaspoon of sumac
Zest and juice of 1 lime
¾ cup of EVOO
Salt & Pepper

Green Tomato Chimichurri Technique
  1. Assemble chimichurri by combining green tomatoes, capers, parsley, cilantro, oregano, jalapeno, lime zest, lime juice, sumac and EVOO
  2. Season Chimichurri with salt and pepper and serve at room temperature
Summer Pairings Chimichurri Steak
Hanger Steak Ingredients

2.5 lbs. Hanger Steaks (pan ready)
¼ cup grapeseed oil
Salt & Pepper

Hanger Steak Technique
  1. Preheat grill
  2. Season steaks to your taste with salt and pepper, and rub with grapeseed oil
  3. Allow 30 minutes for steaks to come to temp
  4. Grill on for approx. 4-5 minutes per side, and rest for 5 minutes before slicing for medium rare
    Serve with your favorite sides.
