Tasting Notes
This elegant Brut Sparkling Wine showcases the refined character of cool-climate Sonoma fruit. Delicate and refreshing, it opens with vibrant aromas of citrus blossom and green apple, complemented by subtle notes of stone fruit and toasted brioche. Fine, persistent bubbles carry flavors of fresh white peach and hints of crème brûlée across the palate, balanced by crisp acidity that keeps the wine beautifully lean and dry. A whisper of residual sugar (0.9% dosage) adds just enough richness to leave you wanting another sip—making this an irresistibly easy-drinking sparkling wine perfect for any celebration.
Vintage Notes
Cooler temperatures and an abundance of spring rains in 2023 pushed back the first day of harvest to the beginning of September. The later start and extra ripening time for the fruit allowed flavors and color to develop slowly for depth and concentration. Warm fall days spread harvest out past the end of October for many of the red varieties, with a final pick of Merlot delivered to the winery on November 2.
Vineyard Notes
Crafted in the traditional méthode champenoise from an equal blend of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Noir (50%), this sparkling wine showcases fruit from one of our revered grower partners. The grapes are harvested from vineyards sprinkled along the southernmost regions of Sonoma County, where fog-blanketed rolling hills reach out toward the Sonoma Coast. These cool-climate sites, kissed by Pacific breezes and morning fog, create the perfect conditions for developing the bright acidity, refined minerality, and elegant structure that define exceptional sparkling wine. The extended time on lees during secondary fermentation develops the wine’s complexity and creamy texture, while the coastal influence preserves the vibrant freshness that makes this wine so compelling.
Winemaker Notes
Crafted in the traditional méthode champenoise, this Brut Sparkling Wine was produced using a classic cuvée of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. The fruit was hand-harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve bright natural acidity and delicate aromatics. After gentle whole-cluster pressing, the base wines were fermented separately at cool temperatures to maintain purity and varietal expression before blending. Following the secondary fermentation in bottle, the wine was aged sur lie for an extended period to develop its signature fine mousse and layered complexity. A final dosage of 0.9% residual sugar was added to balance the wine’s crisp acidity and enhance its texture, resulting in a beautifully refined, dry Brut with remarkable balance, elegance, and length.
