‘Summer in the Valley’ Wine Spritzer

  • Pair with Zinfandel
Wine Cocktail Ingredients

4 oz Old Vines Zinfandel
1.5 oz Citrus Syrup (see below)
2 oz club soda
Orange (for garnish)

Wine Cocktail Technique
  1. Mix syrup and wine
  2. Add ice
  3. Top with soda water
  4. Garnish with an orange slice

Citrus Syrup Ingredients

Peel of 1 lemon
Peel of 1 orange
¾ cup of granulated sugar
½ cup of lemon juice
¼ cup of orange juice
1 teaspoon fennel seed
½ teaspoon pink peppercorns

Citrus Syrup Technique
  1. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pot
  2. Heat until sugar is dissolved, do not boil
  3. Let steep 2 hours
  4. Strain and refrigerate
