Red Blend, Sonoma County
Vineyard Sourcing
Fruit for our Sonoma County Red Blend is sourced from our estate vineyards—Behler and Wild Oak in Sonoma Valley—as well as select sites in Alexander Valley and Dry Creek Valley. This blend highlights the distinctive qualities of Sonoma County’s diverse growing regions, bringing together fruit with rich character, depth, and vibrant expression.
Five distinct varietals were carefully selected to craft our Sonoma County Red Blend. After harvest, the grapes underwent a cold soak in separate tanks to enhance color and flavor extraction. Syrah and Mourvèdre were fermented in open-top tanks to allow for gentle cap management, while Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot fermented in closed-top tanks to preserve structure and aromatics. A small portion of Malbec was co-fermented with Cabernet Sauvignon, adding depth and complexity to the final blend. Each component was aged in French oak barrels before being masterfully blended for optimal balance, flavor, and harmony prior to bottling.
