Each summer, the team at St. Francis Winery & Vineyards pauses all tasting room and winery operations for a full day to honor our founder, Joe Martin (1934–2015). This annual tradition, known as the Joe Martin Day of Service, is a company-wide volunteer initiative that reflects Joe’s deep commitment to community and compassion. This year, we were proud to lend our support just down the road at Valley of the Moon Children’s Center, a place that provides critical care and resources to vulnerable children and families in Sonoma County.
“Joe Martin Day is more than a day of service—it’s a reflection of who we are as a company,” says Rick Bonitati, CEO of St. Francis Winery & Vineyards. “We’re proud to support our neighbors at Valley of the Moon Children’s Center and help create a space where children and families feel safe, welcomed, and supported. It’s an honor to continue Joe’s legacy in such a meaningful way.”
Our team spent the day volunteering at the Los Guilicos Garden and Children’s Services Center, where we rolled up our sleeves and got to work with full hearts and a shared sense of purpose. Together, we tackled a variety of meaningful projects designed to enhance and uplift the space for the children, families, and staff who depend on these essential services.
