WHAT THE EXPERIENCE LOOKS LIKE
An Afternoon, Paced Just Right
You’ll arrive through St. Francis Winery’s iconic mission-style bell tower, welcomed with an enchanting first pour before being escorted to the estate dining room. There, panoramic views of the vineyards and surrounding mountains unfold just beyond the windows. Gathered around a communal table, you’ll share the experience with fellow guests, creating a sense of connection and anticipation as you embark together on an unforgettable culinary journey.
The experience begins with a warm introduction, followed by five masterfully composed courses that unfold in sequence. With each course, the wine is presented first, followed by a dish thoughtfully crafted to complement and enhance its character. A wine educator brings each pairing to life, sharing stories of the region and insight into the inspiration behind the chef’s creations.
The seasonal menu evolves throughout the year, drawing from exceptional farms and purveyors throughout Sonoma County and beyond. What remains constant is the experience itself: five wines, five courses, two hours, and warm, gracious service designed to make every moment feel effortless.
You’ll leave with a renewed appreciation for the way wine and food can transform one another, and perhaps with a bottle—or a newfound favorite—to extend the experience long after you’ve left the table.

Questions
Good to Know
Can you handle allergies and dietary restrictions
Most of them, yes. Tell us when you book. We stock the kitchen sustainably to avoid waste, so we can’t always substitute exactly what you’d like — in some cases we’ll simply omit an item.
Will I be seated with strangers?
Yes. The estate dining room is one large round table seating up to twenty, and it’s one of the things guests mention most in reviews. If you’re marking a private occasion, our Secrets of Sonoma pairing on the outdoor portico seats your party on its own.
I don't know much about wine. Will I be lost?
No. A wine educator introduces every course and every pairing, and the format is built around explaining what’s happening rather than assuming you already know. Guests who’ve never been to a winery and guests with cellars at home sit at the same table.
Do I have to buy wine?
Not at all. Bottles are available if something wins you over, and many guests do leave with a case, but there’s no expectation.
How far is it from San Francisco?
About an hour and fifteen minutes north, at 100 Pythian Road off Highway 12 in Santa Rosa — the heart of Sonoma Valley.
What if I need to cancel?
Free up to 48 hours before your seating. Inside 48 hours, or for no-shows, we reserve the right to charge the per-person fee.
Can I add a tasting as well?
We offer one tasting or pairing experience per guest, per visit — this five-course lunch is a full experience on its own.
Come hungry.
